Enjoy this unique opportunity to try your hand at the traditional art of sheepdog herding with this One Man and His Dog gift experience.

Just like the TV show of the same title, this One Man and His Dog experience provides the perfect opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to herd a flock of rogue sheep with a trusted sheep dog in a stunning and picturesque location in West Yorkshire.

Following tea and coffee upon arrival your day will begin with a short talk on the dogs so you understand their natural instincts and then you’ll be introduced to the dogs themselves. The morning will be spent learning the dogs’ ‘language’ in a training ring, working 2 or 3 different dogs.

In the afternoon, you will be learning to work dogs loose in the field and finish moving a small flock of sheep around the field and completing a small course.

The sense of achievement you’ll feel when you’ve finally got all the sheep in the pen will leave you feeling like a real shepherd.
